Ann basically does what she has been doing since she was a child, putting on shows in the basement. Except the basement has upgraded to venues such as Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, the Museum of Modern Art, Brooklyn Academy of Music, the Whitney Museum of American Art (where she performed her 5-hour “Tribute to Muzak” in the museum’s elevator), New York Shakespeare Festival/The Public Theater,{the} Andy Warhol Museum, the Hammer Museum, REDCAT, and in theaters, clubs and art galleries worldwide.

Occasionally, she will still perform in basements, her favorite being the Cavern Club Theater at the Casita del Campos in Silver lake, CA.

Though she started in her local community theater in shows like The Music Man and Hello Dolly, Ann has always gravitated towards the Theater of The Absurd. Could this be because she was cast in Cat On A Hot Tin Roof when she was in third grade? Or because she reveled in running amok as Helen Keller in the Miracle Worker when she was sixteen? (to rave review no less) Or was it something in the air? (South Charleston was "The Chemical Center of The World".) Or perhaps it was her obsession with local Bible thumpin' snake handlers?

For whatever reason, Ann's performance work is always more than a little surreal. Check it out:
