Ann Magnuson is a consummate creative force whose work has ranged from fronting bands such as Bongwater and Vulcan Death Grip, to acting in film and television, to staging performance art at major museums around the world and maintaining a sustained visual art practice. Magnuson is concocting a special set for the Zebulon stage with dublab’s Ale Cohen and percussionist Joe Berardi that will no doubt showcase her dynamic voice and clever humor. They open for the Bush Tetras on the evening of Sept 7.

Magnuson was the manager of the now infamous neo-Dada Club 57 in New York’s East Village from 1979-1980 and also created the iconic collage calendars for the venue that were a prominent part of the Museum of Modern Art retrospective exhibition of the clubs many creative activities. A special reissue of the Club 57 calendar for 2023 is available for sale in the Ann Magnuson store.
